Our iPhone/Gadget mini-website http://www.toodledo.com/slim has been upgraded. It now has a "Status" view and an "All Tasks" view (by popular request). Also, you can now sort the hotlist and delete tasks.

Thank you! I'm really liking the sorting of tasks

Thank you for adding Hotlist sorting by priority.
When I sort my Hotlist by priority and go back to my Hotlist the next time, my selected sort is not remembered. Is there a way to make the slim client remember your selection? |
Jake Toodledo Founder |
Remembering your previous sort selection is something that is on our todo list.
Thanks |

Thank you for Toodledo Slim ...this is exactly what I was dreaming of when I bought the iPhone. I can't even tell you how much I love Toodledo on the web with its completely configurable features...it does everything I ever wanted in a task manager, and I have tried a whole lot of them.
PS...thanks again!!! |

I am really liking Toodledo and all of it's functionality. There are two items that I am having a challenge with however. 1- Can I change the size of the text in the sidebar on GMail?
2- I am having trouble with Jott understanding the name, Toodledo. Can you give a way to tell Jott what it sounds like? And, can you give me the phonetic spelling of Toodledo so I will know how to pronounce it myself? Thank you! |

There is not currently a way to adjust the font size in the Firefox sidebar. We may support this in the future.
As for Jott. Toodledo is pronounced "2-dull-due", but Jott has a hard time understanding this. Fortunately, you can go into your Jott settings and change the prompt to a different word. We suggest changing it from "Toodledo" to "to do" so you can just say "to do" into your phone. |

not sure if correct spot to ask but will anyways
who owns toodledo? has a lot of similarities to google mail where did the name toodledo come from? |

how do you create a new folder name on the slim version?
also, i do not see the option to create or add a new tag - is this available on the mobile (slim) version? |
Jake Toodledo Founder |
This should probably go in the "Questions" forum, but I'll answer it here. Toodledo is privately owned. The name is something that we made up because it has the words "to" and "do" in it and sounds like "Toodle-oo" which means "goodbye". In other words, say goodbye to disorganization by using our to-do list. Yeah, it's silly.
You create a folder in the slim version by going into settings (which is the bottom link) and you create a tag by typing it in when adding or editing a task. Hope that helps. |

Guys, I am a new user (ProPlus as of today) and I really must say thank you, thank you, thank you. And thank you. A Godsend you are, and you probably weren't setting out to change the world, were you? But in your own way, you changed mine. Toodledo Slim is the primary reason I signed on - why the devil Apple won't update their ToDo application is beyond me, and so now is the use I would otherwise make of my iPhone in that regard.

Is there any way to get the gadget to use https / secure access if you're a professional customer?
I can go to the /slim site via https on my iphone just fine, but would like to use the gadget on my google homepage but need to ensure it's using https not http. It would be really helpful for the gadget to request via https as well as link to https when opening the full browser. Is this feasible? Thanks! John |

I love the Slim version. If Appigo ToDo ever catches up, I'll check it out, but right now Slim is just great even on EDGE, which I have access to almost anywhere.
One request, GTD-related: Please add a checkbox for "filter deferred tasks" to the Settings page. I don't need all these Someday, Waiting, and Delegated tasks cluttering up my lists. Since Toodledo already allows these to be filtered out (I just realized that, and thanks!), I'd think it'd be easy to put a checkbox for it in the Slim settings. Thanks for a great app! |

Thanks for the suggestions.

Would it be possible to add folders? I try to keep certain tasks sorted by various matters via folders. As such being able to view tasks by folders would be most appreciated. :)

You can add folders in the slim version. Click on "Settings" and then "Add Folder"
Hope that helps. |

Hello,
is there a way to add subtasks in SLIM Version? |

Is there any way to get timed reminders? I'm just making the painfull transition from the Treo650 where I had remiders built in (which the IPhone doesn't unless I put everything in the caledar (what a pain that is,the interface is so slow).
Can you send timely sms messages (not 1 or 2 hours in advacen but right on time? Ot can you PUSH the todo data into the Calendar for me? THat would be even better. Thanks |
iPhone2Droid |
Rick,
I'm not a developer, but have read several threads over the months -- seems Apple has locked down the Calendar so developers can't get to it. So I suspect there'll be no "push to calendar" by anyone in the foreseeable future. ToodleDo's SMS system is too rigid for me, as I need different timed alerts for different tasks (i.e., some may need a week in advance; others, 10-15 minutes). Quickest work-around I've found = 99 cents TextLater, a fairly new iPhone app. Allows you to quickly arrange an SMS alert to yourself (or anyone on AT&T) at any date/time. Golden! Olinagel, Yes, you can add subtasks on the slim version of Toodledo. If you have subtasks enabled on your account, just go to a task and click the "Add subtask" link.
Rick, Timed reminders is something that we have planned for the future. |
