Deleting Notebook entires

I am trying to delete Notebook entires from a Folder. cannot find a way to do it on the computer and if I do it on the iTouch, the next time I sync. it reappears there. Help, please.

To delete a notebook entry, click the entry that you want to delete, and then click the trash can icon on the far right side above the notebook text.
