I am a new user. When I checkmark a task once its completed, it keeps showing up unchecked again and again when I sign in afresh. Pl advise. Thanx.

This is almost certainly because you have set it to be a repeating task, so Toodledo is rescheduling it for you automatically. You may have the "repeat" field hidden which would be why it isn't immediately obvious that it is repeating itself. You can turn this on in your account settings.
