Synch on Start/Quit

I am using Toodledo 2.2.1(38) on both my iPad and iPhone. I have "Sync on Start/Quit" set to "On" on both devices. On my iPhone Toodledo syncs on open as expected. On the iPad it doesn't synch automatically. I have to go to Setting>Synchronisation>Sync to force a sync.
Any ideas?

Try turning "sync on start" off and then on again on the iPad. That might give it a nudge.
