View assigned tasks?

Is there a way for me to view the tasks I have assigned to another user? I do not want it to be a shared task, I would like to assign it completely but be able to view the progress from time to time. Thank you.

To view a task you have assigned to another user, first switch to their workspace, then go to the "Sharing" view and click on your name.
