Adding due date (and more) to todo task in checklist

I've created ( I think) a to do task list in lists which I'd like to use as a template for identical for identical projects with identical tasks. One of these tasks calls for it to be completed in 45 days in every project. Another identical task's due date can vary and I assume will need manual entry.
How can I go about getting this done? While I'm at it can I add alarm, context folder columns etc to each (sub) task?

It sounds like you are using our "Lists" section to manage a todo list. You can do this, but you will miss out on a lot of task specific stuff, like alarms and subtasks which cannot be done in the Lists section. I suggest that you move these into the Tasks section which will allow you to use the features that you want.
