How to adjust width of sidebar?

How can I adjust the width of the sidebar? For example my folder names are cut-off, so hoped I could drag the border to left/right to adjust width, but this does not work. Neither I could find an option in preferences to set it to a fixed default with (my preferred way of setting the width).

It is not currently possible to adjust the width of the sidebar. Sorry. I recommend shortening your folder names if you can.
