I don't know how this happened but the words changed to German? on my Iphone. The tasks are still in English but everything else is German.
How can I change it back to English?

Yes. Go into the Settings section inside the app. This is the button in the top left corner of each section. Then tap the bottom row in the first group of rows. Then select "English".
