how do I edit repeated tasks?

I have a monthly task that is not always due on the same day of the month. Is there a way to enter the task as a repeated task and then edit the date AHEAD of time for each month? thanks for any help
PS I know I can enter them individually, but was hoping for a short cut.

Sure. As soon as you check one off, the next instance will appear. Find it and edit it to the correct date, keeping in mind that the next one will repeat on the new date.
