Here are three things you may want to do/change/fix.
1. Send a reminder to a subscriber telling them that their subscription is about the expire, and give them an easy one-button way to re-up.
2. Fix this: Some alarms will still fire one minute before the due date/time. Others will not
3. If the subscriber has set up both browser and email notifications, then after the expiration, it will see that he/she has only one. The only way to delete the non-showing one is to delete both then re-add one.

Thanks for the suggestions. We already do #1. If you didn't get our reminder email, maybe your spam filter ate it.
#2 will only happen if you edit the task after your subscription goes back to "free". In this case it resets the alarm to the only available option.
#3 is a problem. I'll add this to our todo list.
