How do I differentiate collaborators?

I need to know which of the two of us collaborators opened a topic. Other than appending initials, is there a way to establish which collaborator started a topic or added a note? Can entries show up in different colors, for example? Otherwise, how can we tell who added what?

If you have the Assignor field turned on in Fields/Functions Used in Account Settings, you can see who assigned a task. The only way to tell who made an addition or edit to an existing item is to have them tag the change with their initials as you mentioned.
