sync on andriod phone

Have a andriod based google pixel 2 phone.
When I rescehdule the due date on a task it doesn't directly sync the main toodledo account. Is there a setting that I do not have enabled properly?
I see there is a sync frequency with the lowest being 15 minutes. Is that 15 minutes of app open time or 15 minutes of wall time?

That should be 15 mins of wall time. Android OS handles the syncing to preserve battery life, so it may be less often than 15 mins if your batter is low or you have bad reception.
You can also select the "Sync" option from the menu in the app to make it sync right away.
