Why do checked items disappear from grid/folder view?

I would really like to see my checked items in grid/folder view. The only way I can get back to the checked items is to 'search' for them.

Is there a setting to keep checked items visible on the list?

You can keep them in your main lists for a week by showing recently completed tasks in your Filter settings above your task lists. Here is more information: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php?sel=86
