Is there a way to repeat the same task based on the number of times it was completed, as opposed to based on the time. For example what if I have a task that I need to complete 5 times over the week, but it doesn't matter when I complete it.

No. You could use an optional Due Date so that the task shows as due every day, but you would have to manually keep track of your completions. You could use the Notes field, or even tags to keep track of how many times you finish it.

You could also create five numbered iterations of the task (e.g. 1. Go to gym, 2. Go to gym, etc.) so that you check off each one as you do it.

Thank you for the tips. I'll try the numbered iteration option and see how it goes.
