I have logged into my account today and realized all the notes i had been storing over the years are now disappeared. What happened? How can I retreive them?

If you go to toodledo.com in a browser and log in, you will probably find your deleted tasks at the following location:
[Profile menu in the upper right] > MY ACCOUNT > Profile & Settings > Deleted Tasks. Click the Recover button next to each task to undelete it. (ETA: Apparently, after one additional month, the task is permanently deleted. It may also be that you can recover only the last 500 deleted tasks. The text at the bottom of the page seems ambiguous to me on that point.) Toodledo now automatically deletes "Old Completed Tasks". You can set Toodledo to wait up to 6 months before deleting a completed task by clicking the text "Old Completed Task" in the "Method" column. However, as Toodledo tells us there, "Old completed tasks are hidden after 1 week, but they are not deleted until the age specified above. To see tasks completed over a week ago, or to save your completed tasks longer than 6 months, you need to upgrade to a Subscription." We can thank the SaaS revenue model for this development.
