Unable to do a full restore - "A timeout occurred"

I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I needed to remove a specific tag from about 250 tasks -- which also have numerous other tags. As far as I can tell, there is no way to do this as a batch-edit operation: to remove a specific tag while leaving the other tags unchanged.

So... the obvious way to do this was to:

1. Backup the entire set of tasks to an XML backup.
2. Edit the XML backup to expunge the specific tag.
3. Restore from the modified backup.

The only show-stopper: the restore operation fails.... I've tried it numerous times using both Safari and Chrome and it always times out.

I've tried uploading/restore with both the original backup and the version with the tag removed -- it always times out.

My upload/restore XML file is only 1.4 MB containing about 1200 tasks.

The backup/restore page indicates a size limit of 20 MB which is much larger than what I'm working with.

What gives?

The timeout message given by cloud flare.com states: "The connection to the origin web server was made, but the origin web server timed out before responding. The likely cause is an overloaded background task, database or application, stressing the resources on your web server. To resolve, please work with your hosting provider or web development team to free up resources for your database or overloaded"

Addendum: another weird aspect: when I delete all my tasks, the web interface via Safari on macOS shows I have no tasks, but the web interface via Safari on iOS (on my iPhone) shows over 2200 tasks, most of them duplicates. I've cleared all web browser data (cache, cookies) on both devices and logged out and back in and the iPhone safari interface persists in saying I have 2200+ tasks after I've deleted them.

Hi Tony-
can you send a support ticket so I can look into your account for the Safari issue, and resolve the cloudflare issue?
