Clear a tag

In the recent update of the desktop version, when one inputs a tag, a menu appears containing all the tags in existence. Also, one is no longer able to press delete and clear all the tasks.
In this new set-up, how can one clear up all the tags associated with a task?
Is there a single button that can do this?

Hi John, if your cursor is in the tags field, you can hit CTRL-A to highlight the entire contents and then press Delete to clear them.
