I use toodledo task and notes to sync with outlook on work PC and with iPhone. What is best option for 2 way sync of tasks and notes with my iMac at home?

We are not aware of any 2 way syncing options with desktop software. My suggestion is to use the website exclusively while on the desktop, but other people may have other suggestions.
