Disappearing repeat task

I have a task that is set to be due every thursday with no end date. It will show up just fine for a few weeks, then it will be gone (this is from the iOS app, I rarely use the web interface).
I've tried setting it for every week from a specific date, every Thursday and they both give me the same behavior.
I don't know if this is related to me occasionally forgetting to mark it as done or not, but when I go to find it in my list of open tasks, it will simply be completely gone.
Any ideas on this?
