The Add to Toodledo Chrome Extension is no longer working in Gmail, although it still seems to be working on other Chrome pages.

If you go to the Chrome Web Store there is a banner stating -
"This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions"

I have emailed the developer for comment .

To Admin,
Being able to easily and quickly (2 clicks) add tasks from Gmail to Toodledo is an essential part of my work flow and if this extension permanently stops working then I will have to look for a new Task Manager.

Does Toodledo have any plans to develop a web clipper like this one?

Opened Gmail today in Chrome and a banner appeared saying the Toodledo Extension is no longer supported and it should be removed.

Again I ask does Toodledo have any plans to develop Web Clipper/Gmail extensions?

If not then I will have to move to a Task Service that does have this facility.

I have the same question. This is very useful and it's disappointing to see that it's going away. Please advise.

Hi,
You have to enable the extension from the Chrome extensions management panel, and it will work again.

The link you posted appears to be a partial link (only the first line is a link, the second line is normal text) to a Dropbox page, is this correct?

Yes, it is a Dropbox link that contains a screenshot of the Chrome extension manager.

Thanks for sticking with the extension during its downtime!

Good news: I’m finishing up a compatible update and expect to submit it to Google within the next couple of weeks. 🤞

The warning in the Chrome Web Store usually means it’s using older APIs that Google is phasing out. I haven’t heard anything official from Toodledo about replacing it, but I agree, a native web clipper or Gmail integration would be helpful. If the extension isn't being actively maintained, you might want to look into project recovery options like this one https://ideamaker.agency/project-recovery/ in case you're relying on tools that may not get updates.
