Why are tasks with no start dates displayed after tasks with future start dates when sorting by start date?

No start dates are the default for new tasks, and should mean that they can (or should) be started as soon as they are created...

I know I can hide future tasks, but I would like the option to view all tasks, even future ones, but future tasks should be displayed after current tasks! I found a (locked) thread about this from 2008, with no conclusive answer...

Try sorting by start date in the opposite direction. This will put tasks without a start-date at the top.
