Length of text in an Outline.

I am finding that an Outline entry is limited to 150 characters or so.
Is this a general limitation or is there a way to add a note field to a particular outline entry or to expand the size of an outline item ?

This is the current limitation. It is not yet possible to add a note or longer description to an outline item, but this is on our todo list.
