First or last day of the Month

I cannot seem to set an event which repeats on either the first day of the month or on the last day of the month
I have read some very old posts on this topic which indicate it was on Toodledo's ToDo list. However, many years have passed with no fix in sight.
Please advise asap.

First day of the month is easy to do. Give it a due-date of the 1st and set the repeat to be "every 1 month".
Last day of the month isn't currently possible because the months have different numbers of days. This is still on our to-do list.
