Start a Task Once Another Task is Complete

Is there a way to start a task once another task is complete? I tried the ? variable, but couldn't get it to work the way I want. As an example of what I'm trying to achieve, say I have two tasks - buying groceries and cooking dinner. I can't cook dinner until I have the groceries bought. This is a very simple example, but hopefully you get the idea. Is there a way to set up a task so that it is dependent upon the completion of another task? Thanks!

That can't currently be done, but task dependencies are on Toodledo's to do list: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/1817/-8275/linking-tasks-by-tasks-that-proceed-another-one.html The easiest way to do this now is probably to use subtasks to group linked tasks. If you don't have a Pro account you could use tags or something else, but with subtasks it is harder to miss something. |

won't work for all but i change the name of the task and keep a dated running list within the notes of my everchanging task... i.e., CALL Joe July 12 2009: called Joe Change TASK TO... WAIT for Joe to call July 12 2009: called Joe July 13 2009: Joe called back |
