One more quick question...can I add a note within a task or subtask once the task/sub is created? I can't figure out how to access "add note" once the task/sub has been created.

Yup, there should be a little icon that looks like a piece of paper with a green plus sign on it. Click that to add a note. It will be at the far right in Grid mode, or near the bottom-right in Multiline mode, but you will have to toggle the task details open to get to it in Multiline.
