Is there a way to track modification date/time in the web app (not iPhone app). I share folders with another Pro Subscriber and it would be very handy to visually see or sort for recently updated tasks without having to change due date or other fields.

Yes, the modification time is tracked on all tasks. If you sort by modification time, or use the advanced search page, you can find this information.
