It is not clear to me how subtasks are conveyed in the csv export format?

BTW, I am new to toodledo, but so far, it rocks!

Hi!

In CSV export format, subtasks are just tasks.

Indeed it does. I've been using Toodledo for about 6 months now and have found it to be both extremely reliable and flexible. It has helped my productivity enormously.

I've just encouraged my teenage daughter to open a Toodledo account. She has started uni and is struggling with all the assignments that are due. Toodledo will help her see the big picture on what's due when and how to tackle it all.

is there an additional field that i am not getting in the csv dump that designates the task/subtask relationship. surely, toodledo is storing this information somewhere.

is there another way to satisfy my use case....in summary, i am always paranoid about losing my data, so do an occasional export from toodledo cloud into a csv file, but i am concerned that heavy dependence on task/subtask will make the 'backup' not usable.

Backup your tasks in XML format: http://www.toodledo.com/connect_xml.php

Also, take a look at the redundancy and backup built into Toodledo's server setup: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/1/2581/-14138/toodledo-migrating-to-new-servers.html
