Add a subtask: auto due date

I've found it useful to add a subtask by finding the project I'm working on and clicking "add a subtask." The problem is, when I type the name in the popup box, it defaults to no due date. I then have to find the task and edit the due date manually. If I forget this, the subtask gets lost. I'd like the subtask to default to the parent's due date.
Am I missing something? Thanks. This message was edited Aug 27, 2010. |

This isn't currently possible, but it is on our to-do list.

Same applies to other fields, e.g. context, tag, etc.
A workaround I've been using is to 'clone' the parent task so it picks up all of the fields and then drag it onto the parent so that it becomes a sub-task. |
