I meant "Timer" feature...sorry

What is it actually good for?

First of all, I have no idea what to do with it.
then, Most of the time I forget stopping it...

A suggestion: A stopper instead of a timer.

- The stopper would use the "length" feature as a
reference
- It will beep on time (when it gets to zero)
- it will continue counting after it gets to zero, so that
We could easily know the overall time and the gap time between planned time and actual time.

What do you think?

Are you referring to a countdown timer?

I use the timer all the time (no pun intended), mainly to keep track of how long it actually took to do a task. Also, just having the timer running helps me stay focused. I do like the idea of an alarm when you reach the length though, or possibly turning it into a countdown timer, although having it go negative is a bit counter-intuitive from a UI standpoint. I currently use a separate countdown timer when doing a task (which is a bit redundant - I click to start the ToodleDo timer AND start a countdown timer on my iPhone). (On a related side note, I found something Siri is actually useful for... "set a timer for 15 minutes").

@grantg

Not for checking the weather?
Not for doing basic math?
Not for looking up historic facts?
Not for setting reminders?
Not for sending text messages?
Not for playing your music?
Not for making phone calls instead of 10 screen presses?

None of those things are useful to you?

I also think so.
