Good CRM?

I am looking for a good Customer Relationship Manager. Ideally, I would like something to track my business relationships, contact details, when we last talked, notes on what we talked about, follow up tasks, etc.
I know there are a couple decent ones out there (Highrise, SalesForce, etc). But many of them charge more per month than Toodledo does for a year. Does anybody have any success with a good CRM? |

If you use Google Apps then you can get a free Salesforce account that offers basic CRM functionality.
http://www.salesforce.com/googleapps/ Pretty much what you described but not to the level of creating quotes, invoices, etc. I started to use it and quite liked it until my company imposed ACT on everybody and then my own personal corner of hell was created. :D |

Our company is currently using salesforce.com but our sales director pitched a replacement today that looked cool. It is called Prophet and it is an Outlook Add-in.

I am a Mac user, so an Outlook Add-in won't do it for me. Thanks for the suggestion.
I did find a couple that look promising: http://www.javelincrm.com/ http://www.batchblue.com/ Any others would be appreciated since I haven't really built roots with either of these... |

I've been using BatchBook (from batchblue) for a few years now and think it's tremendous. Super customizable and really flexible. For all purpose CRM needs I don't think you can beat it.
